ABERDEEN have completed the signing of former Motherwell skipper Mark Reynolds on loan from Sheffield Wednesday until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old trained with his new team-mates today and could feature against Forfar in the Scottish Cup tomorrow if the paperwork is completed.

Reynolds, who has struggled to secure regular first-team football since leaving Fir Park a year ago, looks set to take Richard Foster's place in the squad with the Dons skipper expected to sign for Bristol City.

The defender has made just six appearances for the Owls this season and Hillsborough boss Gary Megson has sanctioned a deal for the player to return to the SPL for the next four months.

Reynolds, who has eight Scotland under 21 caps, teams up again with Aberdeen boss Craig Brown who managed the player while in charge at Motherwell.
