Chelsea 1-1 Schalke: Mourinho frustrated by missed chances

Missed chances in front of goal frustrate manager Jose Mourinho as Chelsea open their Champions League campaign with a 1-1 draw with Schalke at Stamford Bridge.

Midfielder Cesc Fabregas scored his first Blues goal from Eden Hazard's pass, before 36-year-old Didier Drogba wasted a chance to put the hosts 2-0 up when clean through. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar scored on the break to bring Schalke level midway through the second half as the visitors held on for a vital away point.

Mourinho admits Diego Costa is struggling with a hamstring injury and says the Spain striker "has a problem" playing two competitive matches in quick succession.
