Former Manchester United midfielder Ji-sung Park has been appointed a club ambassador at Old Trafford.

Park, 33, joins United greats such as Sir Bobby Charlton and Sir Alex Ferguson on the list of the club's ambassadors and will make an appearance on the pitch, with former manager Ferguson, before Sunday's league game with Everton.

"I have fond memories of my time at Manchester United and I am delighted and honoured to have become an ambassador for the club," Park told the club's website.

"Some of the best moments of my life and career were spent here and I will never forget the great support I had from the club and the fans.

"I am looking forward to once again representing United and sharing some of these memories with our global fanbase."

The South Korean played for United for seven years, from 2005 to 2012, winning four Premier League titles, the Champions League, three League Cups and the FIFA Club World Cup.
