A look back at Saturday's action from Sky Bet League 1

Aaron Wilbraham headed home his 15th goal of the season as Bristol City stretched their lead at the top of League One with a 1-0 win over Rochdale.

Wilbraham powered home from 10 yards to help Steve Cotterill's side go eight points clear at the summit - with MK Dons losing ground in second following their 2-1 defeat at Coventry.

The Dons were 2-0 down inside 13 minutes and couldn't recover, Chris Stokes opening the scoring with a header before Dominic Samuel added a second.

Daniel Powell pulled a goal back in the second-half but the Sky Blues held on for victory in Neil MacFarlane's first game as caretaker manager to climb out of the relegation zone.

Preston moved level on points with the Dons after winning 4-0 at managerless Oldham.

Paul Huntington and Daniel Johnson struck in the first half before Joe Garner and substitute Jermaine Beckford netted after the break to ensure a miserable start to life after Lee Johnson for Oldham.

Johnson left the Latics to take over at Barnsley and he enjoyed a 1-0 win at Gillingham in his first game in charge thanks to George Waring's goal.

Meanwhile, Doncaster moved back into the play-off places with a 2-0 home win over Colchester thanks to goals in each half from Enda Stevens and Nathan Tyson.

United slipped back into the relegation zone with the defeat, while fellow strugglers Leyton Orient leapfrogged them into fourth bottom as quickfire goals from Ryan Hedges and Chris Dagnall saw them to a 2-0 win at Walsall

Yeovil remain bottom after drawing 1-1 at Scunthorpe. Joel Grant put the Glovers ahead before substitute Hakeeb Adelakun equalised for the hosts after Paddy Madden had missed a penalty against his former club.

Crawley missed out on a valuable three points in their battle for survival after Sheffield United rallied through Marc McNulty's penalty nine minutes from time following Richard Wood's opener for the hosts.

Notts County's slide towards the drop zone continues after another defeat - their sixth in seven games coming at home to Port Vale with Mark Marshall the goalscorer.

However, Chesterfield ended a four-game losing run with a 3-0 win against fellow play-off hopefuls Fleetwood, who had Antoni Sarcevic sent off. Caolan Lavery, Sam Hird and Sammy Morsy were on target for the Spireites.

Elsewhere, a Gaby Zakuani goal and a Michael Bostwick penalty saw Dave Robertson make a winning start as Peterborough caretaker manager as top-seven rivals Bradford were beaten 2-0 at the ABAX Stadium, while Crewe and Swindon drew 0-0, with both sides ending the game with 10 men after late red cards for Jack Stephens and Alan Tate.
