AFC Wimbledon have secured their place in the Sky Bet League Two play-offs after Cambridge were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Plymouth.

The Dons went into Saturday afternoon knowing a win would be enough to secure seventh place in the division.

In the end, they played out a goalless draw away to Stevenage but Graham Carey's equaliser for Argyle two minutes into stoppage-time secured a 2-2 draw at the Abbey Stadium, leaving Cambridge unable to catch Neil Ardley's side.

Accrington and Oxford United could both have secured automatic promotion if Bristol Rovers had slipped up away to York.

But Rovers refused to comply, with their 4-1 win at Bootham Crescent ensuring the battle for promotion will go down to the final day of the season.

A goal in each half from midfielder Billy Bodin gave the Gasmen the lead before Jermaine Easter made it 3-0 10 minutes from time.

Kenny McEvoy kept it interesting as he pulled a goal back for York a minute later but Lee Mansell fired home from outside the area to put the result beyond doubt.

Matt Dolan pulled one back for the Glovers three minutes later and after Akinde (62) had headed his second, goals from Nathan Smith (63) and Francois Zoko (76) hauled the visitors level before Cornick's winner in the fifth minute of time added on.
