Jamie Carragher believes Manchester City have several players below Pep Guardiola's desired level after their 2-0 defeat by Tottenham.

Aleksandar Kolarov's own goal before Dele Alli's second gave Spurs all three points on Nissan Super Sunday, ending City's unbeaten start to the campaign under Guardiola.

And after the game on Sky Sports, Carragher criticised Kolarov for his showing at White Hart Lane, and insists City have a problem in the full-back areas.

"I said before the game I expected Spurs to get something from the game and that air of invincibility about Manchester City needs to go away because they've got some players who aren't at the best level.

"They've got some of the best players in the league in Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero but there are two or three others who are nowhere near that level.

"If you look at the back four and how poor it was. John Stones did well but if you look at the left-back, Kolarov, he's a poser.

"He wants to score a free-kick, he wants to hit a 60-yard pass. Have you seen him defend? He was involved in the two goals.

"There is no doubt that City have problem in the full-back areas and it's games like today which will make Guardiola think there are still changes to be made."

Sky Sports pundit Thierry Henry says Mauricio Pochettino's side asked City all the right questions, something no other Premier League team has done this season.

"If you ask Manchester City the right questions they are going to be in trouble.

Man City boss Pep Guardiola admitted that Tottenham were much better than his side

"Spurs are the first team we've seen do that to them in the Premier League this season and City didn't have the answers so you have to give Spurs a lot of credit, they were brilliant today.

"Pep Guardiola will have learned that not all of his players are at the level he would want them to be at over the next 12 months."
