Tottenham will look to end another impressive Premier League campaign on a high when they travel to relegated Hull City on Sunday.

A second successive runners-up finish is officially Spurs' best league finish in 54 years, since coming second in 1962/63, and their 83 point haul would have been enough to win the Premier League title on eight previous occasions.

If they avoid defeat at Hull, they will equal a club record for fewest defeats in a season (4), set in 1919.

Harry Kane's superb four-goal haul in Tottenham's 6-1 thrashing of Leicester on Thursday night has put the striker on course to retain his Golden Boot award this season. The Tottenham striker's goals took him to 26 for the campaign, two ahead of Everton's Romelu Lukaku and three clear of Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.

Tigers boss Marco Silva could not save Hull from relegation but his work has been noted by other clubs, with Watford reportedly keen to speak to the Portuguese boss about their vacant position.

However, Silva's men have taken just four points from their last six matches, which ultimately cost them their status as a Premier League club.

Team news

Hull have a lengthy injury list to contend with as they bow out of the Premier League.

The defenders missed Thursday's 6-1 win at Leicester with Trippier out with concussion and Walker nursing an ankle knock, meaning Toby Alderweireld played at right-back at the King Power Stadium.

Danny Rose is out after undergoing surgery on his knee, Erik Lamela remains unavailable with a hip injury but Christian Eriksen may return after being an unused substitute at Leicester.

Opta stats

Since winning in their first ever Premier League encounter, Hull are without a win in their last eight games against Tottenham (D2 L6).

Spurs have only conceded two goals in their last six Premier League games against Hull City, keeping clean sheets in each of their last two.

Eriksen has scored three goals in his last three Premier League games against the Tigers, scoring a 90th-minute winner in this fixture in the 2014-15 season.

This will be the fifth season that Hull City end the season at home in the Premier League, they've never scored in all four final-day contests.

Tottenham have lost six of their last eight top-flight away trips on the last day of the season (W2), including a 5-1 defeat last season to an already relegated Newcastle United.

If Kane were to end the season as the Premier League's top scorer, he would be the fifth player to win the Golden Boot in successive seasons, along with Alan Shearer (1994-95, 1995-96, 1996-97), Michael Owen (1997-98 and 1998-99 both shared), Thierry Henry (2003-04, 2004-05, 2005-06) and Robin van Persie (2011-12, 2012-13).

FA chief executive Martin Glenn says they are confident Tottenham will have a successful Premier League and European run at Wembley Stadium

Kane has scored four hat-tricks for Tottenham this season, including three in the Premier League. The only player to score more than three hat-tricks in a single Premier League season was Alan Shearer (five) in 1995-96.

Hull City have won 21 points from 17 Premier League games under Silva, which is more than eight other Premier League teams since his appointment - but this wasn't enough to avoid relegation.

The Tigers have won 19 points from a possible 24 in the Premier League at home under Marco Silva (W6 D1 L1), but they lost their last league match there versus Sunderland (0-2).

Regardless of the result in this match, Tottenham are guaranteed to finish second in the Premier League this season. This is their highest position at the end of a top-flight season since 1962-63 (also 2nd).

Spurs have three players with 20 or more goals in all competitions this season (Kane, Alli and Son) - no other club in the Premier League or Football League have more than one player with 20 or more goals.

Tottenham could become the fifth Premier League team to record 400 wins in this match (961 games, W399 D247 L315).

Merson predicts

Hull are on a downer now. They had two shocking results and two shocking performances to be honest. Tottenham will want to end on a high and I think the players will by trying to help Kane win the Golden Boot.

I don't see any let up from Tottenham. They will carry on right to the end and I don't see them finishing the season like they did against Newcastle last year.

PAUL PREDICTS: 0-3 (7/1 with Sky Bet)
