Tottenham ended their season with a comfortable 4-1 victory over Hong Kong Premier League champions Kitchee in an international friendly at the Hong Kong Stadium.

Heung-Min Son opened the scoring in the 17th minute before Vincent Janssen added a second just four minutes later to send in Mauricio Pochettino's side two goals to the good at the break.

It took Spurs until the 84th minute to extend their lead and it was Harry Kane, who came on as a second-half substitute, who got the third before Kitchee grabbed a consolation goal through Lucas Silva (89).

There was still time for Tottenham to score a fourth through Kazaiah Sterling (90+1) as Pochettino's side brought down the curtain on their season with a big win.

Pochettino named a strong side to face the Hong Kong Premier League and FA Cup winners, featuring Hugo Lloris, Toby Alderweireld, Christian Eriksen and fans favourite Son but opted to leave Kane and Dele Alli on the bench.

Spurs, who replaced Lloris with Pau Lopez in the 30th minute, continued to press for goals with Eriksen and Janssen both denied by smart saves from Zhenpeng Wang.

As expected, both sides made changes at half-time with Pochettino introducing Alli, Victor Wanyama, Eric Dier, Kieran Trippier and Jan Vertonghen.

The changes interrupted the flow of the game but it was still Tottenham that looked the most likely to extend their lead.

Just after the hour-mark, Tottenham made another change in goal with Michel Vorm replacing Lopez and the Dutchman was straight into the action, blocking Alex Akande's shot.

Sterling and Luke Amos then replaced Filip Lesniak and Janssen but the biggest cheer of the evening came when Kane was introduced off the bench in place of Son, who was given a standing ovation as he left the field.
