Wojciech Szczesny is targeting the Champions League trophy at Juventus after signing on a four-year deal from Arsenal.

The goalkeeper was formally presented as a Juventus player at a press conference in Turin on Wednesday after passing a medical at the Serie A club.

Sky Sports News reported last month the deal to take Szczesny to Juventus is worth around £14m for Arsenal.

Szczesny impressed while on loan in Italy with Roma over the last two seasons, and admits he did not hesitate when the Juve came calling - with one trophy target on his mind.

"When you join Juve, it's because you've been chosen," Szczesny said. "I didn't hesitate one moment before coming here.

"I'm ready to take on this challenge. Juventus is the best possible choice for my career. I'm 27 years old and I want to win. At this club there's the right mentality to do so.

"I hope that we'll succeed in winning the Champions League."

Szczesny kept more clean sheets (14) than Juve's long-serving No 1 Gianluigi Buffon last season, and the departing Gunners 'keeper admits he spoke to his new competition before completing a move.

He added: "I'm delighted to be at Juventus. I've spoken to Buffon - a true legend of the game."

Szczesny joined Arsenal's academy from Legia Warsaw in 2006 and made a total of 181 appearances for the Gunners, but manager Arsene Wenger has preferred to use goalkeepers Petr Cech and David Ospina in recent seasons.
