Jurgen Klopp has laughed off a question about Liverpool's reported £66m offer for Naby Keita, joking "are we in Vegas?".

RB Leipzig owner Dietrich Mateschitz has said the club have rejected a bid for Keita and are not willing to sell the 21-year-old.

Klopp was asked about Keita after Liverpool's 2-0 win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League Asia Trophy, and whether there will be an improved bid.

"What do you know? £66m turned down today?" said a smiling Klopp. "Are we in Vegas? I told you I don't speak about this.

"Not Vegas, what is it on the other side of the island in Asia? Yes, Macau. Are we in Macau? No."

Klopp also refused to comment about Liverpool's pursuit of Hull's Andrew Robertson. Sky sources understand the left-back is set to have a medical with the Reds on Thursday.

"I never say anything about anybody until they have actually signed or left. When that's happened I'll tell you immediately," he said.

The England U21 international, who joined the Reds from Chelsea, scored in the win over Palace in Hong Kong.

"If a good player is there and you can have him and he costs a little bit but you have to pay it, then that's how it is," said Klopp of the 19-year-old.

"It's a smart move for him and for us. He saw an opportunity at Liverpool and we see it also, and having him around we can see he's a smart player, a really skilled boy and I'm really happy about that.

"You need a little bit of luck and to score in a game like this. He will stay patient, 100 per cent and we will help him all we can, and then hopefully, in the end, everything will be good."
