Hull City are in advanced talks with Arsenal over a deal to sign midfielder Jon Toral, according to Sky sources.

The Tigers have been looking to bring in three players before the end of this week, with Swansea's Stephen Kingsley expected to join as part of the £16.5m deal for Sam Clucas to join the Swans.

A deal for the 22-year-old Toral - a product of Arsenal's academy - is understood to be close to completion.

He has spent the past three seasons out on loan spells in the Sky Bet Championship, La Liga and Scottish Premiership.

He shone under Mark Warburton at Brentford in the 2014-15 season, scoring six goals in over 30 appearances, and worked with Warburton again at Rangers last term.

In between times Toral spent a season at Birmingham City and a spell with Granada in Spain.
