Blackburn are closing in on a return to the Sky Bet Championship at the first time of asking, but they have still got a little bit of work to do to seal promotion.
Tony Mowbray's side have been locked in a three-horse race with Wigan and Shrewsbury for most of the season, with Rovers currently sandwiched between the two.
Rovers now need just eight points from their final four games to guarantee promotion, and could claim three of those against Peterborough at Ewood Park on Thursday night, live on Sky Sports Football.
Here, we take a closer look at the run-in...
Blackburn are three points behind leaders Wigan, but could go level with them on 90 points if they beat Peterborough, albeit with a far inferior goal difference. They would, however, have played a game more than the Latics.
More importantly, a win would also send them eight points clear of Shrewsbury in third, leaving a massive gap for Paul Hurst's side to make up with their final four league games.
The Shrews missed a massive chance to close the gap when they were beaten by Charlton at home on Tuesday night.
Blackburn have lost just one game since October in the league, losing 2-0 at Plymouth in February, while Wigan lost more recently at Portsmouth in April, their third defeat since the turn of the year.
Shrewsbury's form has been more indifferent lately. They have picked up just two wins in their last six games and look to have run out of steam in the closing stages. They also suffered the disappointment of a Checkatrade Trophy final defeat at Wembley earlier this month.
Wigan still have to play three of their final four games away from home, which could lead to some potential slip-ups. They face Fleetwood, Bristol Rovers and Doncaster all on the road between now and the end of the season, while they also host relegation-threatened AFC Wimbledon in their penultimate game.
After facing Peterborough, Blackburn face back-to-back trips to Doncaster and Charlton, before hosting Oxford on the final day of the season.
Shrewsbury will be boosted by the fact they have three more home games in their final four. Their next game against Bury on Saturday is a good chance to get back on track, before Peterborough visit New Meadow. The Shrews then head to Blackpool before hosting MK Dons.
On paper, it's Blackburn who have the toughest games.
