Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk says his team-mates should be angry after conceding two late goals to draw 2-2 with West Brom.
Despite letting a two-goal lead slip, the 26-year-old insists standards have not dropped ahead of the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Roma.
A win at the Hawthorns would have put Liverpool three points away from a guaranteed top-four finish, and that looked to be the case when Danny Ings and Mo Salah put them two goals ahead.
But any celebrations were cut short as West Brom scored two goals in the last 11 minutes to rescue a draw.
While van Dijk admits conceding the goals hurt, he defended his team-mates.
"Everyone gets upset," he said. "No one wants to concede at the last, even concede at all. The way we conceded those goals is something to be angry about.
"We need to be honest with ourselves and everyone was. We need to do better. You have to tell each other the truth, you cannot be nice and happy when we want to achieve so much as a team, as a club.
"A draw here is not good enough but there is no reason to panic," he said.
