Ross County have appointed Steven Ferguson and Stuart Kettlewell as joint managers on a permanent basis.

The duo took over at the Global Energy Stadium in March following Owen Coyle's resignation on a temporary contract.

County currently sit bottom of the Scottish Premiership table with four games left with Partick Thistle and Hamilton also in the relegation battle.

Kettlewell and Ferguson have drawn two and won one in their last three games in the league.

Speaking about the appointment to the club website, Ferguson said: "I'm delighted to become permanent co-manager of Ross County Football Club.

"It's a fantastic opportunity to have the chance to work with the first team as well as overseeing all age groups of football at the club and it's one that neither myself or Stuart could turn down.

"Working alongside Stuart felt right as soon as we started and it was really important to both of us in accepting the permanent job that we could have a say in the academy and the reserves."

Kettlewell echoed his colleagues' comments and added since they have come in the players and coaching staff have "bought in" to what they are trying to achieve at County.

Chairman Roy MacGregor said it became obvious they could not be overlooked in the search for a permanent boss.

County face Hamilton on Saturday at New Douglas Park in a relegation battle match, live on Sky Sports.
