Last updated on .From the section Liverpool
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah won the Premier League's Player of the Season award - on the day he set a record for most goals in a 38-game season.
The 25-year-old Egypt international scored his 32nd goal of the campaign in the 4-0 win over Brighton at Anfield.
Salah beat the record he was sharing with Alan Shearer, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez.
He also won the PFA Player of the Year and Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year awards.
Salah, who had an unsuccessful spell at Chelsea from 2014 to 2016, has scored 44 goals in 51 games in all competitions for Liverpool in his first season since joining from Roma for £34m.
"They say I didn't have success here the first time," he said.
"So it was always in my mind to have success here in the Premier League. I am very happy. I am very proud to win it."
Shearer (Blackburn Rovers, 1995-96), Ronaldo (Manchester United, 2007-08) and Suarez (Liverpool, 2013-14) scored 31 goals in a 38-match season.
Shearer (Blackburn Rovers, 1993-94) and Andy Cole (Newcastle United, 1993-94) jointly hold the record of 34 goals in a 42-game season.

Well done Mo Salah, great season, great player, full deserved award.
Mo deserves all of the awards being presented to him - he's been spectacular this season and with a bit of luck will finish it off with the biggest club trophy on offer in a few weeks time!
Humble and kind
on top of this, there no arrogance, no bad attitude from him
he's been on top of his game all season and he may win LFC the Euro Cup
P s. I'm a MU fan
As a neutral have to say he's really disappointed for the last 6 or 7 games which makes a mockery of winning awards based on a whole season.

This is a PREMIER LEAGUE award.
Salah scored 7 in his last 6 PL games, with 2 blanks.
Yet another melt who doesnt read the article properly.
'Looking at the up/down votes there's a lot of Liverpool fans on here this morning😂😂😂😂'
Well isn't that funny as it happens to be about a L'pool player....idiot!
