KEISUKE Honda: he’s always on time.

Melbourne Victory unveiled their new marquee signing in a press conference on Wednesday morning after the Japanese star arrived in Australia.

And eagle-eyed observers would have noticed a bizarre fashion decision from the recruit — he was wearing two watches, one on each wrist.

Interestingly, the trend was created by the star himself, and is one he’s been flaunting for years.

Images of the unique style circulated on social media a number of years ago, prompting questions as to the motivation behind the decision to which Honda replied, “Who decided that a watch can only be worn on one hand?”

Rumours suggest that during his time with AC Milan, the left watch was set to Italian time, while the right featured the time in his native Japan.

Perhaps we can expect a similar situation during his time in Melbourne.

Honda has previously had sponsorship deals with watch brands Gaga Milano and Cartier in the past, but no official watch sponsor is currently listed on his official website.
