Midfielder Callum O'Dowda is the Republic of Ireland's only doubt as they prepare for Tuesday night's Nations League showdown with Wales.

The 23-year-old did not reappear for the second half of Saturday night's 0-0 draw with Denmark after complaining of feeling dizzy at the break following a collision.

A Football Association of Ireland statement said: "The only injury concern lies with midfielder Callum O'Dowda who continues to be monitored by the FAI medical staff after feeling unwell in Saturday's game."

Manager Martin O'Neill shares his thoughts on the Republic of Ireland's 0-0 draw with Denmark in their Nations League clash.

Manager Martin O'Neill revealed after the game that medics were monitoring the Bristol City man, who was Ireland's best player in last month's 1-1 friendly draw in Poland.

O'Neill said: "We'll have to have a look to see how Callum is. He took a little bit of a knock and was feeling a bit dizzy at half-time.

"He continued on from the knock, but felt a little bit dizzy and we decided just to leave him out for the moment, but we'll see how he is."

Asked if O'Dowda had suffered concussion, which would rule him out of the Wales game, O'Neill replied: "I don't know. I haven't spoken to the medical people.

"They assessed him and decided [he needed to go off]. Callum himself, I think, wanted to continue on. He's a brave lad, but he was feeling dizzy. I don't know what the outcome is to that at the moment."

O'Neill will hope O'Dowda is available as Ireland attempt to add three points to the one they collected against the Danes ahead of next month's return in Aarhus.

O'Neill has added U21 striker Ronan Curtis of Portsmouth to the squad with Ireland having scored only nine goals in their last 12 games.
