Dusan Tadic fluffed his lines from the spot in Serbia's Nations League encounter

Former Southampton player Dusan Tadic produced a contender for one of the worst penalty misses of the season as Serbia drew 0-0 with Romania in the UEFA Nations League.

In a game short on clear-cut chances in Bucharest, Serbia were awarded a penalty on the stroke of half-time with Gabriel Tamas sent off for a high boot on Mijat Gacinovic inside the penalty area.

Serbia's captain Tadic took responsibility for the penalty despite Aleksandar Mitrovic being on the pitch, but after a slow run-up, he failed to even trouble Ciprian Tatarusanu as he side-footed his shot high over the bar.

Remarkably, it's the second time already in this year's Nations League that Tadic has missed a penalty, with the Ajax midfielder also unsuccessful in the 1-0 win over Lithuania - although he also scored the winner from the spot in the same game.
