Burnley and Republic of Ireland defender Stephen Ward is set for a spell on the sidelines after undergoing minor knee surgery.
The Premier League side say the 33-year-old has been troubled by his knee in recent weeks, so was sent to a specialist.
A surgeon conducted a "tidying-up procedure", but no timescale has been given for his return.
Ward last played for Burnley in their Carabao Cup defeat to Burton Albion last month.
He was also absent from Ireland's squad for their Nations League matches against Denmark and Wales - the last of which is live on Sky Sports on Tuesday.
